Our Mission

The mission of Champion Accounting Solutions is to provide affordable support to small closely held businesses and not-for-profit entities. The purpose of Champion Accounting Solutions is to assist such organizations with their accounting, compliance and financial reporting needs so that their owners or directors can stay focused on their own mission and rest assured that the financial needs of their organization are being met by seasoned and trustworthy professionals at an affordable rate.

Our Team

Bernard Towne, CPA

Bernard graduated from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and from the Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business with a Master’s degree in Accounting. He began his accounting career with Gallagher, Flynn & Co., LLP in Burlington, VT specializing in corporate audit and tax. He was also employed by the Denver accounting firm EKS&H LLLP where he worked his way to the position of manager in the assurance practice. While at EKS&H Bernard developed skills in small business advisory services and financial modeling while volunteering as a bookkeeper and financial consultant at several Denver area non-profit organizations. He left EKS&H in 2014 to found Champion Accounting Solutions.

Bernard is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Outside of tax season, he enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, and working on his farm.

Ashley Hamm, CPA

Ashley graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virigina, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. After a few years in the field of human resources and volunteering as an EMT in Virigina, Ashley pursued a career in accounting. She graduated from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington with a Master’s degree in Accountancy in 2011. She has since worked in public accounting with a focus on individual and small business tax and analysis services. She became a licensed CPA in North Carolina in 2014.

During the non-tax seasons, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, volunteering at church, kayaking, swimming, and shark tooth hunting along the Crystal Coast of North Carolina.

Sarah Yost

Sarah graduated with Honors from Mount Royal Academy in 2021. She enjoys singing at Saint Patrick’s Parish and in the Choral Group, Second Spring. She also enjoys painting, reading, dancing and spending time outside with her family.
